Locating engineering components in large CAD databases can be complex and time consuming if you don't know the filename, part number or keyword. We have developed techniques to catalogue, search and browse for CAD models based on their shape. ShapeSpace uses these techniques to produce 3D model search-engines for in-house databases and the web.
